Hope For Us On ASUU Srike and Concerned T.P Students by Yahya Oluwaseun
The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, after a 14-hour meeting which ended on Friday morning, issued communique, giving the union a one week ultimatum to get back to the government on the strike action.
Based on their conclusions, the ASUU will consult with its members and revert to the government within one week, while the strike is expected to be call off by that week.
We expect them within one week to call of their strike action and get back to work, because the meeting was very cordial.”
The ASUU president, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, promised the executives would consult with their members and communicate their decision within the ultimatum.
The Teaching Practice stipulated to commence on the 18th of September, is still definitely on Stand and the strike can't affect it, as external supervision are being saddled with such responsibility.
More so, Lesson note are now available for collection at Block H, while you are expected to have stamped your T.P letter from the school you choose.
Make hay while the sun is still shining, strive hard today and count your blessing tomorrow through the legacy laid down and the lives you touch through that blessing.
