DSPG Alumni Election Turn’s Congress

The Chairman Caretaker Committee, Comrade Osamor Sunny, Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku (DSPG) Alumni have appealed to all graduates of DSPG to shun away from violent activities, trash out issue brothering DSPG Alumni and stand together as one body to give DSPG Alumni a face. He made this appeal recently during the schedule DSPG Alumni Election that was supposed to hold on Saturday 19th November, 2016 at the Ogwashi-Uku Community Town Hall, which was later converted to a congress meeting.

Speaking, he describe the DSPG alumni as a faceless association stating that it is better to work as a team to build up an association with a face. He therefore stressed that a proper approach should be employed to avoid problems.

In the same vein, the Secretary General, Senator Obruche Chris-Dan Obaro of the caretaker committee advice every graduates to be united saying that “united we stand, divide we fall”. He suggested that a congress meeting should be organized before election and a communique be drafted at the end of the congress meeting. In addition, Comrade Osedume, Treasurer of the caretaker committee moved a motion that DSPG Alumni should be Independent.

Responding, Comrade Enete Precious thanked those who honoured the invitation stressing that the idea to have an independent and a stronger alumni body will help in maintaining the standard of the association.

In conclusion, a DSPG alumni caretaker committee was validated headed by Comrade Osamor Sunny as Chariman, Comrade Ikechukwu Loveth as Vice Chairman, Senator Obruche Chris-Dan Obaro as Secretary General, Comrade Agofure Tony as Assistant Secretary General, Comrade Osedume Francis as Treasurer, Comrade Onajega Monday as Financial Secretary, Comrade Emmanuel Ukwadiachi as Publicity Secretary, and Comrade Onochie Chukwudozie Ken as Mobilisation officer.
