BEDC to Employ DSPG Graduates – By Omili Ethel
The Benin Electricity Distribution
Company has expressed willingness to employ graduates from the Electrical
Electronic Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics and
Computer Engineer department of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-uku (DSPG)
as service engineers.
The employment is geared to
enhancing the on-going project on rehabilitation and restoration of light in
Ogwashi-uku community which is tagged “Operation let there be light.”
The Deputy Rector of the institution, Mr. Atajeromavwo Edafe John, who said that the company wrote to the management of the polytechnic demanding for these set of graduates from the institution and the management has already complied.
He said that the essence of the
demand was to build a cooperate social responsibility and also fasten the
on-going project on the rehabilitation and restoration of light in Ogwashi-Uku.
He charged the students to put
in their best in the job to build a good reputation for the institution and
also avoid anything that will destroy their reputation and that of the
institution. He added that they should take their job seriously because it is
an opportunity that came to them cheaply while many graduates are their seeking
for employment.
