[Episode 7] My Days in Trixwin By Kelvin Ossai

I am also a kind of person that I don't invite you to my place if I don't have money to spend. If you come and I didn't invite you, anything you see, if there is any, just manage it. But if I take my mouth call you, know that I'm ready to make provisions for you that day. (those of una wey know me, una see wetin una dey miss if I tell una make una come and una go say una nor get chance say na next week).

Trixwin Hotel, Ogwashi-uku (Night View)
On Saturdays we do have only one lecture but this Saturday the Lecturer have already told us through our class rep that he won't come. In my mind, it's time to prepare for Favour's tomorrow visit.

At home, none of my friends came. They were at home using their opportunity perfectly by resting. We actually had no assignment to think of.

In my own room, I locked my door and window. It was time to make money out of the weekend's football matches and I needed to be at my best senses as I must win if Favour should be in my place tomorrow.

I pulled my shirt sweating profusely. Moments later, some Jehovah Witness members, I guess two of them came to knock on my door. I kept silent. When they left, I picked up my phone and dashed to Bet9ja's website to book my game. I needed to win seriously so I managed to predict out 4 odds only. I came out, took my bath, went to register the game with 1k so as to win 4k. I went to watch Manchester United play and at the end, the 3 games I predicted played as I wanted them to.

Correct! So now, I can call Favour to come tomorrow.  I was so glad.

I got home and dialed Favour. She picked at the first ring.

Favour: Hey, xup na?

Me: I'm so cool. Hope you had a nice day?

Favour: Yes sha. I spent my time to wash and cook since I didn't go to school today.

Me: Ok. We will be meeting tomorrow, how about that?

Favour: Sound cool, ok, venue?

Me: My place.

Favour: Ok, what time?

Me: Hmm, 4pm.

Favour: Ok. By 3:55pm, pick me at Post Office Junction.

Me: Ok, cool. Alright na, till then.

Favour: Ok, bye.

It was Sunday already. So the day of Judgement is really here. Unbelievable.

Today I was more composed in church but kept wishing for time to run faster. At closure, after that short, fine, Mass Com, Phonetic Urhobo girl has motioned us to recite 'the grace' like soldiers about to execute a criminal, I was about dashing out like I am the guy that runs in 'Temple Run' when my Sunday school teacher Sister Tracy called me.

Tracy: Kelvin why have you been running out of church na? You did it last Sunday, I saw you and you want to do it again today.

Me: Sist, you nor go understand. I get urgent assignment na im make.

Tracy: hmmm. Urgent assignment.

Me: (But I stay reach end of service na, which kind wahala be this.) yes. Nor worry I dey come church on Tuesday.

Tracy: Ok oh

Immediately, I turned and started going home. This time around more composed than before. I got home, dropped my bible, picked up my won ticket and went to claim my money. They gave me my 4k and I went home to eat, bath and started my wait for Favour.

Out of the 4k, I have brought out 2k to spend anyhow. I believe it can cover all that Favour can eat today and the other 2k, I will use 1k to make soup and the other 1k to play another bet on Tuesday that there will be Midweek football.

I was very alert. I have put my room in order since yesterday, though my room was always in order but I still made it look better.

At 3:30pm I was already at the junction waiting with earpiece in my ear playing Nigerian hits from Kiss Daniel and Tekno.

Soon enough, it was 3:55pm. What happened next???

Watch out for episode 8
