(Tragedy) Two Students Dies During EED
Tragedy struck students, staffs, management and people of Akure as the Federal University of Technology, Akure in Ondo State over the death of two 300 level students who drowned even as taking component of their entrepreneurship training (EED) recently.
The drowned victims are Olokun Babatunde Alex from the Department of Assignment Control Technology (PMT) and Olabiyi Emmanuel, from the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, three hundred level.
Speaking, the School’s Student Union president and P.R.O said, "the incident passed off at the laboratory for fishery and aquaculture, at the back of the amazing hall, Obakekere."
Adding that, when the training ended, 4 of them agreed to take a selfie on the canoe packed on the venue, during that method, the canoe which the 4 of them wherein in, capsized, and they drowned. two of them narrowly escaped because they may swim, at the same time as the alternative two were rendered helpless and drowned in the process.
